Serial entrepreneur Abhishek Goyal |
At a pitching event, Abhishek Goyal asked an entrepreneur how she would bring 10,000 coffee mugs from Chandni Chowk to Gurgaon (two cities near Delhi). She replied that she would ask one of her friends to bring them along while coming back from office. Goyal was not taken aback since he himself knew, as a serial entrepreneur, that success is the end result of mistakes and blunders.
“After graduating from Indian Institute of Technology (Kanpur), I worked at Yahoo and Amazon and also founded two startups before joining global VC firm Accel Partners as an Associate. After working three years at Accel, I realised that my true calling lied in entrepreneurship, and I plunged back into it. I launched two more startups — UrbanTouch (acquired by online fashion flash sales retailer FashionAndYou), and Tracxn, an online startup discovery platform for VC funds,” said Goyal.
